The bowl of Hygieia is a common symbol on signs outside of pharmacies in Europe. A mortar and pestle is a more common symbol in the United States.
In 1947, there was no institute for pharmacy education in the newly born Pakistan though there were lots of thoughts to open such an institute. In 1964, 1st July PHARMACY Education started its endless journey under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdul Jabbar, which roams around him till today.
