The condition of the living animal or plant body or of one of its parts that impairs normal functioning and is typically manifested by distinguishing signs and symptoms is termed as a disease. The study of disease is known as pathology.
Pathology can be defined in one of two ways. It’s either the condition (the anatomical or functional manifestation) produced by a disease, or the scientific study of the origin, nature, and course of diseases.
However, clinical pathology can be defined as the branch of pathology dealing with the study of disease and disease processes by means of chemical, microscopic, and serologic examinations.
In other word it concerned with the diagnosis of disease based on the laboratory analysis of bodily fluids, such as blood, urine, and tissue homogenates or extracts using the tools of chemistry, microbiology, hematology and molecular pathology. Some books are given below,
