Microbiology is the study of microorganism or microbes include bacteria, archaea, algae, fungi, protozoa, and viruses.

Medicine: It is the study of with the identification of plans and measures to cure diseases of human and animals which are infectious to them.

Industry: It is the study of use of microbes to produce antibiotics, steroids, alcohol, vitamins, amino acids etc.

Microbiology tells us about different bacteria and organisms, their life cycle, their growth, and reproduction as well as how they can be killed so that you can later understand the mechanism of action of certain drugs, like chemotherapeutic agents, like antibacterial, antifungals, anti-cancer, etc. It also teaches us methods of sterilization which is obviously required and useful for becoming a pharmacist or any other medically related profession.
